Our Mission

We are a no-kill shelter operating within humane guidelines dedicated to housing and caring for misplaced cats and dogs until a qualified, loving home is found for them. Founded in 1997 by our now departed director, Margarett Svatek, we have had a high success rate for adopting out animals. Our shelter is operated primarily by volunteers and a few paid employees along with our board of directors who work effortlessly and continuously to provide love, care and support for our shelter animals.

Adoption Policy

Our adoption process includes filling out an application, either online or inside the facility, and visiting the animal in person before making any final decisions. We also encourage fostering first to make sure the animal is a good fit in the home.
