Our Mission

The Navasota Animal Shelter is a small shelter. Our facility has several outdoor large and small dog runs, and we house our cats inside. We do accept horses and other livestock animals, and we rely solely on foster homes for them. We take in and find homes for 350-400 dogs and cats a year, as well as about 12 livestock animals Thankfully, we have been able to be "no kill" for the past three years. Adoptions and foster homes are the only reason we can make this possible...our resources are just too small.

Adoption Policy

Howdy! Thank you for considering one of our babies! We require that an adoption application be filled out for each and every one of our dogs and cats. (We do, on occasion, have livestock animals available. Please email the page.) The adoption fee for dogs and cats is $30, which includes any vaccines given, a microchip and the spay or neuter. GPS directions to us can be a little squirly, so feel free to search for the fire department we are right across the street. Navasota, Texas is 15 minutes south of College Station on Highway 6.
