    Our Mission

NORTH TEXAS RABBIT SANCTUARY (NTRS) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3, no-kill organization based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.  NTRS rescues abandoned rabbits, finds new indoor homes for them, and provides rabbit care information to the public.  An estimated 90% of all rabbits purchased as pets for children die of improper care or are abandoned at animal shelters across the country, most to be euthanized. Sadly, many rabbits are not given the chance to prove themselves as intelligent, curious, affectionate companion animals.

    Adoption Policy

The rabbits at NTRS are constantly being adopted out as new ones come in. NTRS has rabbits of all shapes, sizes and ages.  We encourage you to be open minded when choosing a rabbit.   NTRS charges a $125 adoption fee for a single rabbit and $185 for a pair.  This fee goes to pay for the spay/neuter cost of the rabbits.  All rabbits are to be spayed/neutered before they can be adopted and are required to be indoor house rabbits.   Before you decide to adopt a rabbit, please visit www.rabbit.org and read about rabbit care and behavior to decide if a rabbit is the right companion rabbit for you.     Website:  www.ntrs.org Email:  ntrs_tx@yahoo.com Address:  1013 Lesa Lane, Garland, TX 75042
