No Kill Hunt County (NKHC) is a group of concerned citizens that have come together to work toward the goal of Hunt County Animal Control Facilities becoming No Kill shelters. It is a work in progress, and we have a long way to go.
NKHC promotes the need to spay/neuter to help prevent dumping and killing of innocent unwanted animals.
No Kill Hunt County is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations to NKHC are tax deductible.
Our adoption range is within 120 miles of Hunt County, Texas (75402). We also require a home check for all adoptions. All animals are monitored 10-30 days for signs of pregnancy, injury, or illness before becoming available for adoption.
Our dog adoption fee is $200 per dog and includes spay/neuter, microchip, shots (rabies, parvo, distemper, bordatella), deworming, and heart worm/flea/tick preventative.
Our cat adoption fee is $100 per cat and includes spay/neuter, microchip, shots (rabies, etc), deworming, and heart worm/flea/tick preventative.
