Our Mission

Misfit Hounds is a hound rescue and sanctuary located in East Tennessee. Misfit Hounds is dedicated to providing a safe haven for "throwaway hounds" while they are rehabilitated before adoption. We specialize in senior, special needs and the temperamental misfits. Misfit Hounds celebrates the true hound spirit of rebelliousness and an appetite for destruction while showcasing how loving the breed truly is.

Adoption Policy

Please read all the way down ?? Misfit Hounds strive to find the perfect fit which is why our adoption process uses a volunteer board who collaborate on the perfect adopter. Please find the basic requirements needed as an adopter on www.misfithounds.org Since we are thinly volunteered and some available dogs are in foster care we require an adoption application to be submitted for a meet-n-greet. This will ensure that you nor the rescue/fosters will go out-of-our-ways to set it up if the basic requirements as an adopter cannot be meet. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. We are happy to answer any questions which may not be covered on Petfinder or main website.
