Our Mission
Open Heart Rescue is a small Tennessee Registered Non Proift NO KILL rescue operating in Cookeville, TN. We are about 1.5 hrs from Nashville, in middle TN. It is the mission of this rescue to Save and place neglected and abused animals in safe permanent homes. We rescue desperate animals on Death Row in Kill Shelters and give them a second chance at life.
Adoption Policy
It is easy to adopt a beautiful pet from Open Heart Rescue. Fill out adoption form, along with $125.00 Adoption fee for dogs and $50.00 for cats! Our primary goal is to find great homes for our animals without breaking the wallet. So many pets are being turned in to shelters because of the economic hardships currently affecting us all. The small fee goes directly to purchasing dog food, vetting and other necessary items for the rescue. All applications are reviewed to insure the best fit for our animals. Home Visits are required and a fenced yard is a must for any of the larger breeds.
We are currently updating our kennels and doing a "MakeOver" to our facility. After all renovations are complete we will be having a "GRAND OPENING ADOPTION DAY"! DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED:)
