Our Mission
Local Whiskers Inc. was established in March 2019 to rescue, treat, and find forever homes for at-risk cats found outside in York County and surrounding areas. We are a foster-based rescue with loving and knowledgeable cat ladies spread throughout the county answering the call to help local kitties and bring them into our homes until they are adopted into their purrfect family! We are firmly committed to spaying or neutering all pets, and we assist in TNR projects for community cats. We are deeply grateful for community support, including donations, adoptions, and fostering!
Adoption Policy
Fill out an online application. Once approved, one of our fosters will call you to schedule a meet & greet at the cat's foster home or at a local adoption event. https://localwhiskers.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption
All of our adoptable cats are FeLV/FIV tested (if six months), up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, and spayed or neutered (if of age).
