Our Mission
At Safety Net Sanctuary, our mission is to protect and care for all animals in need—especially senior and special needs dogs, cats, and farm animals—by providing a safe, loving, and permanent refuge in Berks County. We are committed to giving forgotten and at-risk animals a second chance to thrive, while connecting adoptable pets with families ready to open their hearts and homes. Through compassionate care, community partnerships, and responsible adoption, we strive to create a more humane world

Adoption Policy
All potential adopters must fill out a comprehensive adoption application. Adopters must be at least 21 years of age, own their own home OR provide proof of approval by landlord/property owner, and have the necessary means to provide care for the adopted pet. We personally meet all potential adopters to ensure it is a good fit for both the pet and the adopter, due to this policy adoptions are open to residents of Pennsylvania only.
