About the Shelter:
The Chickasha Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Chickasha, Oklahoma. The shelter's primary duties include:
Providing a safe environment for adoptable animals
Enforcing animal-related laws within the city
Holding stray animals found within the city limits
Additional Services:
Spay/Neuter Program: In partnership with OkHumane
City Pet Licensing
Educational Services to the community on responsible pet ownership
Adoption Information:
Adoption Fee: $45 (includes spay/neuter, microchipping, and vaccinations)
City Licenses: 17.00 (Rabies certificate is required when purchasing a City License)
Volunteer and Foster Opportunities:
Volunteers and foster families are always needed to help with the shelter's mission.
The shelter operates with a limited staff and relies heavily on the support of volunteers.
Community Support:
Foster Program: The shelter is actively seeking community members to assist with fostering animals.
Community Service: Always needed and welcomed.
