Geauga County Dog Shelter & Warden's Office

The Geauga County Dog Shelter takes in stray dogs throughout Geauga County. By law we have to hold a dog three business days - or 72 hrs - before we are able to adopt them into new loving homes. Every dog is vaccinated, heart worm tested, and spayed/neutered. All adoptions are on a first come, first to adopt basis. Adoption fees range from $120.00-$200.00. We accept cash or check only please. This Shelter is not your typical shelter. We have the most amazing staff, Volunteers and Community. This Shelter truly gets to know each and every Visitor. Excited is an understatement with every adoption. It jumps up and down and even cries a little when watching a former Visitor take that ride home. This Shelter does a whole lot with very little.
