Our Mission

Timber’s Legacy is an all-volunteer not-for-profit animal rescue group located in Middle Village, Queens, NY. We rescue cats (and sometimes dogs) from the city shelters, care for them in foster homes, and then find loving forever homes for them. We do not have a shelter ourselves - all animals are lovingly fostered by our volunteers. Timber’s Legacy, Inc. is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of our funds go toward the care and placement of our animals. Adoption Policy

In order to find safe and loving forever homes for our rescued animals, we require an application, references, and a home visit. (We're not nosy - we just want to make sure our animals are going to a safe environment!) If your application is approved, the adoption fee is $125.00 for an adult cat and $150.00 for a kitten ( up to one year old) which includes spay/neutering, testing, vaccinations and microchip. We will always take our animals back for any reason. We hold adoption events at Pet Supplies Plus, 74-17 Grand Ave. in Maspeth, Queens from 11am to 5pm roughly every other Saturday.
