Our Mission

Our mission, as a shelter, is to house, feed and protect the animals of our community. Whether the animal is lost, abandoned or surrendered- we will work diligently on reuniting them with their families or finding safe placement in a new home.

Adoption Policy

If you are interested in the adoption of one of the animals at our shelter, please contact Officer Worley at Moriarty PD (505)832-6060. Adoptions are done by appointment only, and we do suggest meetings with the animals prior to their adoption. If you have other animals in the home, we can arrange for the adoptable animal to meet them in a neutral location as well, if you would like too. The adoption fee for animals is $10, and a $10 microchip fee. If the animal is already sterilized, these are the only fees that will be applied. If the animal requires sterilization and a rabies vaccination, you will receive a voucher to cover these procedures. There is a refundable $40 deposit on sterilization. So in this case, the total will be $60, with $40 refunded after the procedure.
