Adoption Policy

Thank you for searching for your next best friend at Española Humane. We have a variety of adoptable pets on PetFinder and on our website at www.espanolahumane.org/pets/. You can apply for a pet directly from our website! We partner with Adopets to make the adoption process quicker and keep you updated by email.

When you see a pet on our website that you are interested in meeting, just select “Adopt me” on that pet’s individual profile page. Follow the onscreen steps to create a profile with Adopets and then you're all set to submit an application! (Tip: After creating an account, you can “save” more than one pet profile to come back to later.) Future applications are a breeze because all of your information is saved - no need to complete all the same information over and over again!

Following your account setup, you will receive an email with further instructions explaining how to schedule your appointment to meet the pet you applied for, along with additional information.

Adoptions are on a first-come, first-serve basis and appointments must be made within 48 hours. Please note: Applying for a pet does not hold a pet for adoption.
