Our Mission
At Woof Tribe, rescue doesn’t stop at the shelter doors. We fight for unhomed, at-risk, and shelter dogs across the U.S.—the ones discarded, forgotten, or running out of time. From urgent medical care to trauma-informed behavior rehabilitation, we specialize in transforming the most vulnerable into adoptable, thriving companions.
We don’t just pull dogs—we walk with them every step of the way. Through a national network of fosters, expert partners, and forever families, we give each dog the second chance they deserve. At Woof Tribe, we believe that every life matters, healing is possible, and home is worth fighting for.
Adoption Policy
1. Adoption Requirements
To adopt a Woof Tribe dog, applicants must:
Be at least 21 years old.
Be financially stable and able to provide veterinary care, food, training, and all necessary supplies.
Have the knowledge and consent of all adults in the household.
Provide landlord approval if renting (we will verify pet policies).
Have a securely fenced yard (for most dogs) or a safe containment plan.
Agree to a home check (virtual or in-person, depending on location).
Commit to positive reinforcement training, especially for dogs with behavioral needs.
Understand that some of our dogs may have specific needs regarding children, cats, or other dogs.
2. Application Process
Our process includes:
Application Submission – Fill out our detailed adoption application.
Interview – A member of our team will contact you to discuss your experience, expectations, and lifestyle.
Veterinary and Personal Reference Checks – We verify vet records and check references.
Home Visit/Virtual Home Tour – We conduct a home check to ensure it is safe and suitable.
Meet & Greet – When feasible, a meet and greet is scheduled with the dog and household members (including pets).
Trial Period (optional) – In some cases, a foster-to-adopt trial may be offered before finalizing.
3. Adoption Fee
Our adoption fees vary depending on age, breed, and medical investment. All fees go directly toward veterinary care, transport, rehabilitation, and rescue operations. Fees generally include:
Spay/neuter
Vaccinations (rabies, distemper, parvo)
Microchip
Deworming
Behavioral assessment
Adoption fees are non-refundable
4. Post-Adoption Support
We offer:
Lifetime return policy — If you can no longer keep your dog, you must return them to Woof Tribe. Rehoming without our consent violates the adoption contract.
Behavior support — We can help connect adopters with positive trainers and behaviorists.
Continued community — We love staying in touch and seeing updates from our Woof Tribe alumni
