PAWS of Chinook fills a need in the community by spreading the spay/neuter word, and encouraging responsible pet ownership. We take in dogs that are strays and owner surrenders, and work to find new homes for them. We do it because we care about companion animals, and want them to have the best life possible in a responsible, loving home. We do not have facilities for cats.
We appreciate donations, and with more funds, we can save more animals. We'd also love more volunteers and foster homes. Toys, walking dogs, whatever you can do to help would be appreciated!
We are looking for great homes for our dogs. Maybe your home? This is our basic adoption process. We require an adoption application to be filled out that describes your home situation and why you want to adopt. The application includes a number of questions that help us to get to know you, and to determine your situation, and whether the dog would fit into that situation. You will need to specify several references that will be checked before adoption. In addition, a PAWS volunteer will talk with you by phone or in person about the possible adoption. Our adoption application states that if you no longer want the dog, you must return the dog to us. The adoption donation is currently $100. Please Email firstname.lastname@example.org for an adoption application.
