Our Mission
Herding Hearts ResQ: 501c3 Non-profit Organization
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for Border Collies and Border Collie mixes, spreading joy through their adoption and promoting responsible ownership through compassion and community support.
Adoption Policy
Each collie available for adoption is up to date on vaccines, altered and treated for any complications they may have arrived with. Each one goes through basic obedience training with our founder and certified trainer Janae Aguirre. A four week (once a week) training class is included with every adoption to address desires and issues that may come up in the new home. This also allows for a greater connection between the collie and their new family helping to ensure a perfect match. At least one in-home visit will be conducted before each collie is placed with an adopter. This ensures long-term safety and health for each collie after leaving our care. Before an adoption is approved we will contact an adopter’s veterinarian to ensure the best care will be given by the adopter. In-home visits may be conducted virtually depending on certain situations. Applications are open to anyone, however we cannot guarantee a match with a collie. We have the right to refuse an adoption for any reason.
