Our Mission

We are a small home and foster based rescue that is based out of Muskegon, MI. Most of our dogs come from the State of Michigan. We do get calls sometimes for dogs from out of state. When we do take those in we ensure that they are healthy, have been seen by a vet prior to coming into Michigan. We take in strays, pull from high kill shelters, pull dogs that have shut down in shelters and we do take in owner surrenders on a case by case basis. With owner surrenders we try to have the owners be the fosters until an adopter can be found as that takes a space that could be used for a dog living on the street. We promote spay and neuter of all dogs.

Adoption Policy

Due to the fact that we are a home and foster based rescue we require an approved application on file in order to set up a meet and greet with our dogs. You can view our application on our website or our Facebook Page Cober's Canine.
We require all animals in the home be up to date on shots, heart worm preventative, and prefer them to be spayed or neutered. Some dogs will require a fenced in backyard.
We do vet checks, home ownership checks (to make sure you can have a dog at the residence), and check for any prior abuse or neglect of an animal. Once approved we will set up a time for you to come and meet the dogs. (An approved application does not mean you are approved for all dogs, an assessment will be made upon visiting.
