Community Cats of Benzie County

Mission Our mission is to reduce the number of unaltered, free-roaming, stray, feral and/or abandoned domestic cats in Benzie County through: TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs that require a dedicated caregiver for each individual colony Adoption of placeable cats and kittens into loving homes Education and encouragement of participation of compassionate community members, other animal support groups, veterinarians and local government Support low-cost spay/neuter programs to low income families Support local legislation that requires that all animals (canine or feline) that are adopted from the Benzie County Animal Shelter be sexually altered prior to adoption, even pediatric animals Support local legislation that encourages responsible pet ownership
