Our Mission
NCHS is a 100% volunteer 501(c)3 non profit organization formed in 1991 to provide shelter, food, and vet care to abandoned homeless cats. Through the years we have expanded to provide shelter, food, and vet care to rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, birds and reptiles. Our goal is to place animals in a stable and consistent home where they are treasured and loved.
Adoption Policy
All interested applicants complete an application where we ask detailed questions including who is living in the home, rent and home ownership status, previous animal ownership and care history and previous pet adoption history. A home visit is typically conducted when an application is reviewed.
