Onyx's Legacy Animal Rescue
Our Mission
We are dedicated to the rescue of urgent shelter dogs, and finding committed adopters locally as well as out of state. We are in Acadia Parish and help surrounding areas when we can.
We have recently shifted our main focus and mission to the following cases:
•Neonatal puppies and kittens
•Senior dogs
•Special Needs dogs and cats
•Rehabilitation/Socializing
•Sick and/or injured
We provide excellent in-home foster care and optimal veterinary care to ensure a great quality of life in each animal we take in.
Adoption Policy
We require our animals to live indoors as part of the family. We require an excellent vet reference and home inspection.
Our process starts with an adoption application.
Most of our dogs require a fully secure fenced yard.
