Taylor Co SPCA
Our Mission
The Taylor County SPCA is a 501(c)(3) foster-based animal rescue in Central Kentucky. We are run entirely by volunteers who dedicate their time to rescuing animals in need. Our rescue provides safe and loving foster homes for animals until they are ready to find their forever families! We also provide support to the community via our low-cost spay/neuter voucher program.
Adoption Policy
To ensure the best match for your family, we have an application process for our adoptable dogs and cats. You can access the applications here: https://www.tgspca.org/
After your application is submitted, TCSPA will review your application and contact character references, vets, etc. As part of the review process, you may be contacted to answer questions or provide a video tour of your home. Application processing usually takes 5-7 days.
If your application is approved, you will be contacted to arrange a time to meet with your potential pet and a volunteer/foster from the SPCA. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure you and the animal are right for each other. If this meeting goes well, your pet can go home with you that day! Most meet & greets end with an adoption. During the meeting, we will review our adoption contract. Once the adoption is finalized and the adoption contract is signed, your new best friend is ready to go home with you!
