Our Mission

Chasing Tails Rescue began as a simple vision for helping unwanted cats & dogs outside of a shelter environment. Since inception in May 2017, the rescue has been a dream come true for founder Chris Klima, the shelter fosters & supporters.

Through networking & social media, Chasing Tails Rescue has quickly become a sought out rescue to help place dogs and cats who have found themselves without a home. As a 501c3 nonprofit, the rescue relies on a community of compassionate & generous supporters.

The rescue, relying on loving fosters, takes steps necessary to insure the animals are ready for their new adoptive family. While in a home environment the rescue animals are fully vetted, socialized and given basic training skills.

Proudly, Chasing Tails Rescue, was an integral part of rescuing dogs from Texas immediately after Hurricane Harvey. Joined with other Kansas rescues, Chris drove to Texas ladened with donated supplies to help prepare the shelters for the influx of misplaced animals. Upon returning to Kansas. Chasing Tails Rescue successfully re-homed 19 puppies & dogs pulled from overrun Texas shelters.
