Our Mission
Love at First Meow Cat Rescue is a nonprofit, foster-based organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and kittens in need. We operate entirely through a network of volunteer foster homes, allowing every cat to receive individualized attention, compassionate care, and a safe environment to heal and thrive. This home-based model reduces stress on the animals and provides valuable insight into each cat’s personality, helping us make thoughtful and successful adoption placements.
Adoption Policy
All potential adopters must complete an adoption application. We will verify that their name and address matches county tax records. If they have existing pets, we will contact their vet to verify that their current pets are sterilized and up to date on vaccines. If they rent their homes, we ask for landlord contact information to verify that they are, in fact, allowed to have a cat. We also ask for two non-family member personal references so that we can contact them to find out more about what kind of pet owners our potential adopters are.
