Idaho German Shepherd Rescue
Our Mission
At Idaho German Shepherd Rescue we’re committed to helping German Shepherds in need. We rely on a network of devoted foster families and volunteers to provide each dog with love and stability while we help them find their forever homes.
Adoption Policy
Our adoption process is designed to help you find the right dog for your family, while ensuring each dog is placed into a permanent, safe, and loving home. If you are interested in a specific dog or would like to be pre-approved as you start looking for that perfect dog, please fill out our adoption application. We will then contact you to begin the process, which will involve a home visit and reference checks. Please note that we will also call your vet to ensure all current and prior dogs have been kept up to date on rabies and distemper at a minimum, and any current animals must be spayed/neutered. Please remember that Idaho German Shepherd Rescue is run by volunteers, so we ask for your patience in this process. In addition, we are only able to adopt to individuals in the Treasure Valley area at this time due to the home visit requirement.
Our adoption fees help us offset the transportation, veterinarian, and care costs of our rescue dogs. We ask for a minimum adoption fee donation of $450 for a puppy under 6 months old, $400 for a puppy 6 months to 1 year old, $350 for an adult dog 1 thru 6 years old, and $200 for an adult dog 7 years and older.
