PAWS Humane Society
Our Mission
PAWS is a volunteer managed, city shelter, that has been operating since 2000. We have a contract with the city of Charles City that our animals come in through the Charles City Police Department as strays, and if not claimed after 7 days, animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and put up for adoption! We adopt to all over Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, etc.
We are always in need of volunteers to help with the animals and day to day tasks, if interested please reach out to us!
Adoption Policy
We are excited you want to adopt! Please fill out an application on our website to get the process started. We do require all pets in the home are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated according to state code. If you have any questions about specific animals please contact us!
