Adoption Policy
All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent, the landlord will be contacted, and their approval is required. If your apartment building has a "no-pet" policy, we will not approve an application even though that owner is required to allow a pet with an ESA letter.
We limit adoptions to homes in Linn County and adjacent counties. A home visit is required on all adoptions. That is generally conducted when we deliver the cat(s).
If you have been convicted of assault, domestic abuse, child or elder endangerment/neglect, interference with official acts - your application will likely be denied.
We reserve the right to deny any application.
