Our Mission
Our Mission: Guam Animals In Need improves the care of all animals on Guam by sheltering those in need, and through compassionate advocacy, expert education, and strong community connections.
Guam Animals In Need is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which was incorporated in 1989. We are the only animal shelter on the island of Guam.
Adoption Policy
If you would like to adopt a pet, the first step is to fill out our Adopters Questionnaire.. You can fill out the questionnaire in person at the animal shelter office, or online (see our web page at guamanimals.org or our Facebook page for more information). Then we will discuss with you how to make an adoption work best for you, your family, and your new pet.
Our animal shelter is located in Yigo, Guam, immediately next to the Yigo community center and gym. If driving driving from Dededo and going north on Marine Drive, look for the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on the right hand side in Yigo. We are 1/2 a mile further up the road, also on the right hand side (immediately past the GPA substation and Yigo gym).
