Our Mission
The Humane Society of Forsyth County (HSFC) is an independent, privately funded 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to serving the people and pets of Forsyth County since 1975. Over the past 50 years, we’ve helped more than 30,000 animals find loving, permanent homes.
As one of the largest no-kill, non-profit shelters in Forsyth County, GA, we are committed to:
• Rescuing and caring for homeless cats and dogs
• Reducing pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs
• Helping families stay together with low-cost clinics and a pet food pantry
• Educating our community about responsible pet ownership
Adoption Policy
What’s Included at Time of Adoption?
– General Wellness Exam
– Age Appropriate Vaccinations
– Fecal testing & Deworming
– Rabies vaccination (puppies excluded)
– Diagnostic tests for canine heart worm (age-appropriate)
– 24 PetWatch Microchip and Registration
– Spay or Neuter Surgery
– Monthly Flea Preventative
– Monthly Heartworm Prevention
– Reference material on pet care and training
Adoption Fee’s
– Puppies (Under 1 Yr) = $325
– Adult Dogs (Over 1 Yr) = $225
– Senior Dogs (Over 7 Yr) = $175
– Platinum Pets: Prices Vary
