Our Mission
Florida Pets Alive (FPA) is a non-profit,501(c)3, tax exempt organization run by volunteers dedicated to making Florida a No Kill state.
Florida Pets Alive will work with local residents, rescues, and shelters to decrease shelter intake and increase pet adoptions & retention.
Adoption Policy
All Florida Pets Alive animals are in loving foster homes where they are learning the joy of being a cherished family pet. This provides the sturcture and socialization they all crave before finding their fur-ever homes. We hold the Weekly Pet Adoption Event at the Naturally Healthy Pet store on Thomasville Road every Saturday from 11-3pm. Cats, kittens, dogs and puppies come out to meet loving humans.
Our adoption process begins with an application. Once reviewed and approved we schedule a home visit. The home visit allows you to visit with the animal you've chosen in a relaxed atmosphere and helps to ensure a lifelong match for both the people and the pet!
Standard Adoption Fees:
Dogs- $150.00
Cats- $75.00
Pets available for adoption from FPA, local rescues and individuals are highlighted each Saturday from 11am-3pm at our adoption event located in the Capital Plaza- 1866 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee, in front of The Naturally Healthy Pet.
