Our Mission
At The Liberty Barn, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide lifelong sanctuary for horses and farm animals in need. We are committed to offering a safe, loving environment where every animal is treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. Through education, community outreach, and hands-on involvement, we strive to inspire a deeper connection between people, animals, and the land. The Liberty Barn is more than a sanctuary—it's a place of healing, hope, and second chances for animals and humans alike.
Adoption Policy
The potential adopter is asked to visit the horse, fill out an application which requires veterinary and farrier references, and information about housing for the animal. If approved, the animal is sent to the person on a free care lease agreement - meaning they take care of the horse as if it were their own, but we retain ownership. This ensures that the horse has a life-long safety net in case the horse's or the owner's situation changes and requires rehoming.
