Our Mission

Donations accepted: towels, leashes, collars, unopened dog or cat food, dog toys, dog treats, kitty litter, pet cages. Monetary donations are also accepted for expenses such as veterinarian bills, dog/cat food and cleaning supplies. Supplies are used for the animals at the shelter and are also stored for emergencies. The pet cages are stored in case of a natural disaster to help with displaced animals.


Donations can be brought to the Bethel Police Department or left in the bin by the garage door of the shelter.



Bethel Animal Control is a Division of the Bethel Police Department. 

Adoption Policy

Call us at: 203-778-7424 and leave a message. We will get back to you and schedule an appointment at your convenience for adoptions. Or send us an email to bethelanimalcontrol@yahoo.com. The Adoption fees are 50 dollars for unaltered animals (you receive low cost spay/neuter voucher) and 5 dollars for altered animals.



We are located at 154 GrassyPlain Street (Rte. 53) in Bethel, Ct. Call the Bethel Police Department at 203-744-7900 if no one is at the shelter and you wish to speak with us.
