Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue
Our Mission
Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue is an independent donor supported 501(c)3 non-profit organization, run by committed volunteers and guided by our founder, Yvonne Moore. We are a NO-KILL rescue. We provide care for abandoned and homeless animals until we can place them into permanent, loving homes. We are dedicated to providing humane treatment and quality of life for the animals. The primary objective and purpose of this organization is to:
Establish and maintain a shelter that provides a safe environment for homeless and abandoned dogs and puppies.
To spay, neuter, vaccinate and provide medical attention needed for the animals.
To place our canines in safe, loving and permanent homes with responsible pet owners.
To accomplish this within 30 days of the animals arriving, if possible, due to the fact that Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue is not a sanctuary.
Our mission is to control the over-populations of canines in our area, by spaying and neutering all animals before being released into the community.
*To educate the public on the importance of vaccines and altering their pets.
*To work closely with local animal shelters to place adoptable dogs.
*To network with other rescues and exchange information on adopting certain breeds.
*To provide a necessary service to homeless and abandoned canines in the three surrounding communities that otherwise is not available.

THE ADOPTION PROCESS
We place our adoptable dogs in the most appropriate homes. We endeavor to learn everything we can about the animals in our care. We then combine that with the information you have shared with us about you and your family, and try and match canine and human personalities. We will address all of your concerns about adopting a new pet, and we will also make sure all the important questions are considered, in an attempt to match you with an animal that will be the best suited for you and your lifestyle. We work hard to make every adoption a wonderful, successful experience.  All adoptions are done through an application process and a contract will be established between you and the rescue. You must be 18 years old to adopt a dog. There will be other criteria you must meet prior to adopting an animal from Sutter Buttes Canine Rescue. Our volunteers are happy to help you with any questions.
