Our Mission
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit Pit bull and Boxer breed rescue based in Bakersfield, CA. Our mission is to provide a means for Kern County's street dogs, shelter dogs, and owner surrenders to find exceptional homes in dog loving communities of California.
Adoption Policy
Our process starts with the application and a phone call. We put dogs through training whenever possible, get to know them the best we can, and have them adoption ready with spay/neuter certificates, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
The most important part of this process is to see how the dog responds to the potential adopter. In our rescue, it's not about the expectations we have on you, it's how the dog feels about you! Many of our dogs need to be only pets so single pet homes are considered first. We will always be open about the likes and dislikes we have learned about each dog but we do expect that training is part of the first weeks of introducing the pup to it's new home. Secure yards, schedules, experience with the breed, and your excitement to adopt are key. We want pictures and updates about your success story with your new dog for years to come!
