Our Mission

Lend A Bone Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs at risk of euthanasia across Arizona and Southern California. Our mission is to reduce and ultimately eliminate the number of dogs lost each year to unnecessary euthanasia, focusing on both behavioral and medical cases that often go overlooked. At Lend A Bone Rescue, we are committed to saving dogs from overcrowded, underfunded rural shelters, where resources are scarce, and the need for assistance is critical. We provide a lifeline to dogs of all breeds, ages, and medical conditions, ensuring that every dog has a chance for a better life, regardless of their background or circumstances.

In addition to rescue, we are deeply invested in our local communities. Through food assistance and various support programs, we assist low-income and homeless pet owners, helping them keep their beloved pets and avoid the heartbreaking decision of surrender. We believe that every dog deserves a second chance and we strive to provide a loving and supportive environment for all our rescues. Our promise is simple: we will never give up on a dog in need. Each rescued animal receives the care, attention, and love they deserve, and we are committed to finding them their forever homes.

No matter the breed, no matter the medical challenges, no matter the age, every dog is

worth saving. Join us in giving these deserving dogs a chance to thrive.

Application Review: Once your application is reviewed and approved, one of our team members will contact you to set up a meet-and-greet with the pup.

Meet & Greet: If the meet-and-greet goes well, you’ll have two options:

Adoption Trial: Take the pup home for a 1–2 week trial to ensure it’s the right fit.

Adopt Right Away: If you're ready, you can sign our adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, and bring your forever family member home!

? We always encourage and welcome returns if things don’t work out — no judgment, no pressure. Our goal is the best match for both you and the pup.
