Since then, he has settled in beautifully with our mini horses and has slowly started learning that humans can be a source of comfort and kindness.<br/><br/>Zeke unfortunately is not the type of donkey who will run up for attention in the pasture. He is difficult to catch when turned out. Like many donkeys, he also requires extra care during the hot summer months, especially when it comes to fly control. His legs need daily attention with fly spray, SWAT, and possibly fly boots (which would need to be checked underneath every day). Donkeys often wont stomp at flies the way horses do, which can lead to painful sores if fly issues arent managed.<br/><br/>Once Zeke is caught, his sweet personality starts to shine. He enjoys treats, loves having his ears rubbed, and continues to make progress every day.<br/><br/>Zeke is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to help him build confidence at his own pace.
