Meet Tessa

Tessa is a gentle and sweet mare that we are amazed has been with us for 7 years! This 25 year old who stands 15.2hh, was unfortunately part of a severe neglect case, and fought her way back from starvation. Due to her previous neglect 5 years ago, Tessa has dealt with some lameness in her front hooves. She is kept shod in the front to help her move around more comfortably. Despite that, Tessa would be perfect for an occasional ride around the yard by a small child. She is absolutely fantastic with kids! Tessa has been used in our "Books in the Barn" program as well as visits with special needs friends. Tessa is up to date on all her shots, shoeing, teeth & deworming.
