ROMEO's Story
Sex: Gelding Color: Pinto Breed: Miniature Horse Age: 21 Years Weight: 225 lb Height: 9.2hh Adoption fee: $500* *Adoption fees are subject to change based on current specials and may increase with training. If you enjoy braiding hair, or playing with hair in general, Romeo is your man! He has got luscious locks and thoroughly enjoys a good groom. Sweet little Romeo has settled into his new digs at Nevins very nicely. He is easy to halter in his stall, lead to his paddock, and catch for turn in. He's pretty much down to hang out anywhere. Due to Romeo's advanced age, he will need more frequent dental care. All his meals will need to be soaked but he still enjoys chewin' up a nice hay quid to keep himself entertained! Romeo was also recently diagnosed with Cushing's Disease and will need to be on medication to keep him feeling and looking his best. This means Romeo is at a bit higher risk for laminitis/founder. In all reality, what mini isn't? He will need a low sugar diet but may still be able to graze on pasture due to the condition of his teeth. Luckily this guy stands well for both the vet and farrier!
