At about 15 pounds, she’s the perfect size: small enough to curl up beside you yet sturdy enough to keep up with any adventure!<br/><br/>Zuni’s story started in a rural shelter after being surrendered by a breeder. While her beginning didn’t offer much stability, Zuni has been quietly and courageously learning what it means to feel safe and she’s come so far.<br/><br/>She’s playful, quirky, and has an huge soft spot for treats. She absolutely thrives around other dogs and would love a home with a confident canine buddy to show her the ropes. Watching her relax and play with another dog is like watching someone finally exhale.<br/><br/>At home, Zuni is gentle and sweet. She sleeps peacefully in her crate at night and enjoys being near her people during the day. She’s still a bit unsure about sudden movements or being scooped up<br/>but give her time and she’ll come around. Once she is comfortable with you,<br/>she melts into ear scratches and quiet affection like she’s been saving it just for you. Zuni is still working on housetraining and has been doing great! Right now she has a potty pad by the door that she uses if she can’t wait.<br/><br/>Zuni is looking for a patient, loving home that understands that trust is something to build step-by-step.
