Zuma is a proud member of our Beach Town Class, and just like her name-sake, Zuma Beach, she's full of sunshine, charm, and easygoing vibes! This adorable, small pittie has a big personality packed into a compact, oh-so-cute package.<br/><br/>Zuma is dog-friendly and loves the company of her canine pals, making her a great candidate for a home with a built-in dog buddy or opportunities for social play. She's currently enrolled in our 10-week prison training program, where she's learning her basic cues and polishing her manners, setting her up for success in her forever home. Her incarcerated handler describes her as "a very special dog. Zuma LOVES to be outside and run around, then fall asleep for hours." The bond between her and her handler is very evident already.<br/><br/>This sweet girl has had a bit of a rocky past, coming into the shelter as a stray multiple times over the past couple of years. Sadly, when given the chance, her previous owner chose not to reclaim her. After spending over a month in the shelter, Zuma was at risk simply due to her length of stay, but we know her story deserves a much happier ending.<br/><br/>Now, Zuma is ready for a fresh start- a true forever home where she can finally settle in and be loved the way she deserves.
