Zula's Story

Zula was pulled from the Gastonia Shelter when she was found as a stray pregnant and extremely emaciated. We brought her in hoping we could get her healthy enough to have her puppies but unfortunately her medical condition caused a miscarriage of all 7 puppies. Zula eventually healed emotionally and physically and is ready for her forever home. Because Zula is a puppy, she can get excited and be mouthy & nippy. She has had some training and learning to walk well on leash without pulling and to curb her enthusiasm. She is a bit dog selective though lived with 2 dogs prior to her current foster and has a smaller playmate that regularly visits. Her foster says these things about her:

- Zula loves sunning herself
- Loves playing fetch and with her rope toy
- She is sweet & affectionate
- Zula is smart and learns quickly
- Zula is very crate trained and enjoys her crate. Goes in willingly and sleeps all night in it
- Zula has no reaction to thunderstorms or fireworks. She remains calm
- She is playful, fun & knows basic commands
- Zula is very eager to please
- She finishes her puzzle toys quickly!
- Zula likes to chill in her doggie bed

Zula would do well with an active family with older children and one willing to put the work into training which we will assist with.

Zula is also available for FOSTER as she is a bit too active for her current fosters. Applications can be found at: www.angelstotheanimals.org/foster or www.angelstotheanimals.org/adopt
