Zola's Story
Meet Zola: 112 Pounds of Pure Snuggle!

Age: 6 Sex: Female (spayed) Breed: Purebred Mantle Great Dane Weight: 112 lbs

Some girls just get better with age, and Zola is proof. She's the whole package: obedient, goofy, cuddly, and fully grown into her fabulous self. She comes with no puppy chaos and no teenage nonsense, just a sweet, seasoned Dane who knows how to be a great companion.

Her greeting game is strong. Zola announces new visitors with a big bark, then befriends them within minutes. Expect a wiggly, happy welcome.

She's got manners. She knows Sit, Down, Come, Shake, and Off, and she's very food motivated, so treats will make her your biggest fan. She takes them gently, walks beautifully on a leash, and hops in and out of the car on her own because she LOVES car rides.

She's easy to live with. She's house trained, crate trained, and travels well. Her crate is her happy place, and she's comfortable in it when you're away. She has no destructive habits and isn't bothered by fireworks or vacuums. Our evaluator called her "bullet proof."

She's social. Zola was curious, excited, and friendly with every dog she met during her evaluation. She also loves kids and gets along with cats.

She's healthy and ready to go. Her recent lab work was good. She's spayed and vaccinated, with no arthritis and no skin issues. She sees and hears fine and is at a great weight.

Fair warning: Zola is a genius with her mouth. She can twist a doorknob open and she has defeated garbage cans, so you'll want a latch she can't outsmart.

Her perfect day starts with a walk, then a car ride, then hours on the couch with her favorite human. She'd also be happy to sleep in your bed.

She comes with an XXL crate, an orthopedic crate bed, bowls, and a blanket.

Don't let anyone tell you she's too old for adventures. Zola is in her prime, with plenty of good years left and a whole lot of love to give. She's past the puppy stage and fully trained, so what you see is what you get, and what you get is wonderful.

Interested in giving Zola her forever home? Apply with MAGDRL's West Virginia chapter today!
A little health update: Zola has had some elevated liver values on her bloodwork, and we have started her on supplements to support her liver health. Her most recent numbers have improved compared with her previous results, which is very encouraging! Zola was treated for Lyme exposure last year. Her blood work is Lyme positive, but she doesn't need treatment for it. Lyme isn't directly contagious through normal contact with other dogs or people, and routine tick prevention remains important. Zola is happy, fun-loving, playful, and downright adorable. Don't let this get in the way of meeting this wonderful girl!

Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.

For more information on this dog and our adoption policies, visit MAGDRL at https://www.magdrl.org.
