Zoey's Story

This big beautiful girl cost someone $3500 2 years ago. A year ago she found herself abandoned and living on a chain a couple hundred feet behind the home she used to live inside of. The family she used to be a part of had moved away. Thankfully the property owner had been caring for her until he could find the perfect place for her. She is now safe and comfortable at the Funny Farm and back inside where it's warm and she gets to play and have people love on her throughout the day. She is 62 pounds of pure love. She loves everyone she meets and is a little submissive. She loves other dogs of all sizes as well. She has a moderate prey drive so cats would probably not be a great idea although we are told she used to live with 2. She absolutely loves toys, especially this giant donut and she loves to go for rides. She does great off leash and has excellent recall. She is the typical Rottie and is a slob with her water and food and has no idea how big she is because she loves to sit in your lap. She knows sit but I believe from living on a chain for a year, she does jump a little but she corrects fairly easy. This girl has tons of potential in an experienced home. She needs lots of exercise and consistent training.
If you think you are the perfect match for Zoey you need to start by submitting the adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog
Her adoption fee is $325 and if she requires transport from her current foster home near Jackson TN there will be an additional $200 fee.
She will be fully vetted before leaving the rescue. You can check her and her adoptable friends out at funnyfarmpets.org and check out her videos on FB at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue?

Funny Farm Rescue Ranch's Adoption Policy
Adopters must be 21 or older to adopt. You must start by submitting the application. We then contact the references you list on your application. If you are approved to adopt, we will contact you to conduct a phone interview. Once you are approved we put you in touch with the pup’s foster parent to ensure a perfect match. Most of these pups are still in TN and won’t travel north until their adoptions are finalized. Once everyone is comfortable adopters pay the adoption fee via shelterluv. Then adopters sign an adoption contract. Once the fee is paid and contract is signed, then we schedule the transport. We typically use HEARTS.llc.com to transport our rescued pets to their new homes. Total fees include age appropriate vaccines, tests, spay/neuter, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, microchip, and any other vetting we have deemed necessary and the transport charge. The fees are typically $500-$650 but can vary slightly.

Our Mission
Our mission is to reduce the pet over population problem and mass euthanasia in the south through rescue, spay/neuter, adoption and education. Without our northern angels who choose to adopt these southern sweeties, more of these adorable, innocent animals would end up in landfills.
