Zoey's Story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.

Zoey is a darling 3-year-old, 14-pound possibly Yorkie mix with the softest wavy coat and just a touch of white on her face. She’s friendly, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s loyal companion.

Zoey has lived with an owner and her two children (ages 12 and 16). She’s done wonderfully with them and loves being part of family life. Her owner received her from a friend whose elderly mother could no longer safely keep such an active little pup.

And active she is! Zoey is a bright, happy girl who loves to explore, run, and play. She immediately came right up to us, hopped into our lap, and made herself at home at our evaluation meeting—she is truly a lovebug who wants to be close to her people.

She does great in public places.

Zoey is brand new to rescue, and we’re still getting to know her. So far, we believe she will adjust quickly in a loving new home. At the moment, she’s being given some extra space as she heals from her recent spay, which is also why she’s taking things at her own pace with the other dogs in her foster home.

What Zoey Needs
Zoey’s previous home had no fenced yard, and her owner worked long hours, so she’s looking for a place where she can get the exercise and attention she deserves.
