Zoe's Story
ZOE is ready for the next chapter of her life! She is a beautiful 6-year-old Golden Retriever and Yellow Lab mix who weighs 55 pounds. She has gorgeous golden hair and a sweet personality to match.

Zoe does well with other dogs, children, adults, and even cats. She can fit into a busy environment or a low-key household. She's house-trained and crate-trained and well-behaved!

Zoe was surrendered to the shelter in critical condition by her prior owners. We rushed her to the ER where she was diagnosed with Addison’s disease—a hormonal disorder where the body does not produce enough cortisol.

Following her hospitalization and the administration of proper medication, Zoe quickly bounced back and is doing great! Zoe will lead a full, normal life, but she requires a monthly injection of Percorten-V and a daily low dose of prednisone to manage her condition.

This special girl deserves a loving home and will repay her new family with endless affection. If you would like to give Zoe her "happily ever after," please email info@redcollar.org for more information.

Age - 6 years
Weight - 55 pounds
Dogs - okay
Cats - okay
Kids - okay
Vaccinated - yes
Neutered - yes
Microchipped - yes
Location - Houston, TX
Available for out-of-state adoption - yes
