Zoe's Story

Zoe is looking for a loving new family after her previous owner's health declined and they were no longer able to care for her. While this transition has been difficult, Zoe remains the same gentle, loving girl who is ready to bring joy and companionship to her next home.

At 11 years old, Zoe has perfected the art of being the ideal companion. She has a calm, easygoing personality and enjoys the simple things in life taking leisurely walks where she can stop and take in all the sights and smells, relaxing in a cozy bed, and spending quality time with her favorite people.

One of Zoes best qualities is how well-mannered she is. She's the type of dog you can take almost anywhere. She does wonderfully in public settings, handles events with ease, and enjoys being included in everyday activities. Whether you're running errands, attending community events, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon together, Zoe is happy just being by your side.

Zoe has also done well with other dogs when given proper introductions. She would thrive in a home looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who still has plenty of love to give.

Senior dogs like Zoe are truly special. They come with years of experience loving people and ask for so little in return a comfortable place to rest, gentle affection, and a family to call their own. Zoes sweet nature, excellent manners, and loving heart make her a wonderful addition to the right home.

If you're looking for a devoted companion who will be grateful for a second chance, Zoe may be the perfect match. Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland's Adoption Policy
Why adopt a Senior Dog? Experienced, housebroken, settled down, loving and lovable, good with children, excellent company, non-judgemental - we could go on but you get the picture. Exceptions to everything listed? Sure, but all in all an experience you will never regret. First, come visit the dogs that interest you; we are open, by appointment, every day of the week from 10-3. Then complete our Adoption Application, which asks for personal references, your animals' Vet, information about your home environment and your agreement to allow us to do a home visit. Once approved, we will do a meet and greet with your family - including your four-legged family members. If all goes well, you welcome your pup into your home and your heart and you all become members of our extended Senior Dog Sanctuary family!
