Zoe

Zoe has recovered from her spay and is ready to find a home of her own! Zoe is a 1yr old 50lb female Belgian Malinois that joined the CAT5K9 Shelter to Search program. Unfortunately Zoe does not have the confidence necessary to be a reliable search dog. <br/><br/>At home and environments she is comfortable in, with people she is familiar with she is a typical high energy, toy motivated, pushy malinois. When in new environments, especially with strange people her nerves get the better of her and her toy drive drops and she tends to try to hide under foot. She is the definition of Velcro dog and likes to be right next to you at all times. <br/><br/>Zoe does not like being crated but she will sleep in one quietly over night or when no one is home. Her previous owner had her loose in the house and said other than the occasional counter surfing she played with her toys and left other things alone. With strange people and dogs she is nervous but not aggressive. Once she’s given a chance to warm up she is affectionate. With strange dogs her nerves tend to result in posturing behavior, she backs down quickly, but this behavior may not be tolerated by some other dogs.
