Meet Ziva, a 5-year-old Pit Bull/Terrier mix who is basically a 56-pound ball of pure love. She would be a great "first dog" since she is past the puppy phase and has a solid foundation of good behaviors! She lives for human attention, loves to cuddle, and has a way of making everyone she meets feel special. If you are looking for a dog who will immediately become your absolute best friend, she is the one. <br/><br/>She is incredibly easygoing and fits right into the flow of everyday life. Ziva has a perfect medium energy level, meaning she is always down for a fun walk but equally happy to crash on the couch with you for a movie marathon. She is good with children and great with other dogs. She gets along with both men and women and is pretty quiet. She is currently being fostered with 5 other dogs, so could easily fit into a home with multiple dogs, but would also be fine as a single. She loves stuffed toys and shares with her house mates. She appears to have a low prey drive and has met a couple outdoor cats and was fine, so we *think* she would do fine in a cat household with a proper introduction.<br/><br/>Ziva has a very eager to please personality, so should make any additional training a breeze! She is potty trained and will even go to the door to let you know she has to go. She also knows how to use a doggie door. She is great in the car, especially if head scratches are involved! <br/><br/>Ziva is just a sweet, loyal soul looking for a family to shower with affection. Your adoption fee covers: spay/neuter (if old enough), transport fees getting the dogs from Texas to our fosters homes here (that ALONE is $200-$230 per dog), core vaccines, heartworm test (If old enough), deworming, and microchip. <br/><br/>We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. With every adoption comes a complimentary First Exam at any participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. Follow-up Care Coverage: VCA provides limited health guarantee coverage (up to $250) for specific minor illnesses (like kennel cough or ear infections) diagnosed during that initial 14-day window.<br/> <br/>We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how big they will be when they are fully grown. The breed listed is typically a guess based off of appearance or personality traits. We cannot guarantee that any dog is not mixed with pit. This is a standard part of adopting a dog from rescue. <br/><br/>We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.
