Meet ZippyADOPTED

Zippy is approximately 2-3 yrs old Lab mix. He is about 55lbs and loves to be around other dogs and adores the people he knows. He has been around cats and does well as well as with older children. Zippy can be on the more reserved side.. He is very affectionate to those he knows but takes time to warm up to those he doesn't. He most likely will not be the type of pup that will be running up to strangers but once he knows you, he is your friend forever. Zippy wouldn't be an ideal fit for a high traffic household where strange people are in and out. He is an energetic and agile boy and would do best in an active home as well but he is all about cuddling on the couch. He does settle nicely indoors and loves to go for walks (he is great on leash) and would be great hiking companion (not off leash until fully recall trained due to his cautious nature). Zippy had a neglectful and abusive beginning in his early months so will need time to build trust with any new people. He does great with all of us here and all our volunteers. He isn't a huge fan of the cold weather so, he will need a jacket and sweater in the colder temps. He does prefer cuddling in bed or on the couch if it's cold out.

Adoption fee is $500. which includes vaccinations, neuter fecal and heart worm test, dewormings, microchip, health certificate and transport.
