Zippo Labrador Retriever Mix Joliet, IL

Zippo is a very loving little pup who likes to play and be a typical puppy. He loves to cuddle so much that he INSISTS on sleeping rapped around your head at night on your pillow. We crate train most of our fosters, but this little guy would protest by crying and whining all night. If we didn't take him out, he would make a HUGE mess in his cage. We quickly realized that it would be to our benefit to let him sleep out of the crate. It definitely worked out better, he became very good at using pee pads and going potty outside as long as he got a good snack reward. He is a fast learner and very food driven. He does very well having a dog buddy to learn from, he has learned much faster by watching our other dogs. Zippo is a wonderful pup who just wants a cuddly family all his own!

Adopters must live within a 100-mile radius of Joliet, IL to be considered. The adoption fee is $425 with $100 refundable deposit added. This covers all shots, spay/neutering and microchip.

Our adoption process typically takes from one to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalizing the adoption.

If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for up to 1 year and we will gladly consider your family for another dog.
