Zipper's Story

If you are looking for goofy boy that would be happy to walk a couple of miles with you and then curl up with you for a nap, look no further, Zipper is your guy!

Zipper is all puppy right now but is well on his way to being a very good boy. Like most pups his age, he doesn't love his crate yet but he is learning to like it more everyday. He just loves his friends so much that quiet time in his crate... alone... doesn't fit his vibe.
He will do just about anything for food so when it's meal time, he will willingly go in there, no questions asked. He will even stay in there quietly for at least an hour but if he knows you are home, he will start to whine to let you know he'd rather be cuddling with you. He will also quietly sleep all day in his crate but as soon as he hears you unlock the door, he will sing the song of his people to let you know how excited he is that you are (FINALLY) home.

He currently lives with 2 other dogs. One is a senior big dog and one is a young small dog and he does well with both but is still learning to heed the warnings other dogs give him. He's just a very active boy who prefers to spend his time playing with his canine friends. When the other dogs tell him that they need a rest, he will chew on a toy or he likes to shred boxes (better than your shoes... amiright?) to help fill the time.

He is a SOLID cuddler when he's ready for a nap. He wants you to have no doubt that he loves you. Be careful though, this may cause frequent procrastination because you won't want to move!

He is a pretty quick learner when it comes to training but he still has plenty more to learn. He currently working on basic manners. He has a really great "sit" but what he forgets on a regular basis is that he is a gigantic puppy and he shouldn't be jumping up on anyone. He just gets so excited that he can't help himself so his "off" isn't quite up to par yet.

He will likely need an adjustment period in a new home but he is doing really well with potty training in his foster home.
